- Arrange your required vaccinations in advance.
- Carry enough of any prescribed medicine for the journey.
- Check your passport and visa, and keep your travel documents together.
- Take a shower, clip your nails and complete personal grooming before entering Ihram.
Put your responsibilities in order
- Make sincere Tawbah and seek forgiveness where needed.
- Pay outstanding debts where possible.
- If a debt cannot be settled before travel, agree a clear repayment plan and make sure your family knows about it.
Pack light
- Ihram garments and belt.
- Comfortable walking sandals and a small bag for them.
- Phone charger or power bank.
- Perfume-free toiletries for use during Ihram.
- Water bottle or flask.
Travel with patience
Avoid arguments, pushing and harsh words. Crowds can be tiring; protect your worship and the safety of other pilgrims.
